Busy Bees Quilt Guild 2025 Philanthropy Projects
This year our guild voted to help the following three facilities with their needs
Piedmont Women’s Center: Receiving Blankets, and or Self Binding Baby Blankets - Gender Neutral - but all colors will be accepted. Size should be minimum 36” up to maximum 45”. There are many great YouTube tutorials for Self Binding Baby Blankets (two are linked below) Receiving blankets can also be made by simply joining two same size pieces of flannel sewn right sides together, then turned right side out and top stitched along the edges and a small amount of stitching in the middle to hold the two pieces together.

Shriners Hospital’s For Children In Greenville: Pillowcases and Children’s Quilts up to lap size. Each child admitted to Shriners receives a pillowcase to take home and post surgery patients receive a quilt to take home. There are many great YouTube tutorials to choose from for making Pillowcases (one is linked below)
Quilts: Up to lap size
Pillowcases: Should be STANDARD PILLOWCASE size and be made with juvenile or young adult fabric prints .

The Springs at Simpsonville Assisted Living/Memory Care: Adult - Standard Size Pillowcases. We need 30 more standard pillowcases to fulfill their bed needs. Please use fabric an adult would love. There are many great YouTube tutorials to choose from for making pillowcases. (One is linked below)
